Review : Keep Working. Keep Playing. Keep Creating. In his previous books Steal Like an Artist and Show Your Work! , both New York Times bestsellers, Austin Kleon gave readers the keys to unlock their creativity and showed them how to become known. Now he offers his most inspiring work yet, with ten simple rules for how to stay creative, focused, and true to yourself—for life. The creative life is not a linear journey to a finish line, it’s a loop—so find a daily routine, because today is the only day that matters. Disconnect from the world to connect with yourself—sometimes you just have to switch into airplane mode. Keep Going celebrates getting outdoors and taking a walk (as director Ingmar Bergman told his daughter, â€The demons hate fresh airâ€). Pay attention, and especially pay attention to what you pay attention to. Worry less about getting things done, and more about the worth of what you’re doing. Instead of focusing on making your mark, work to leave things better than you found them. Keep Going and its timeless, practical, and ethical principles are for anyone trying to sustain a meaningful and productive life.  Read more
Review : I am a fan of this book! Anyone can have moments in life where staying creative seems a hard task to do. This book gives you advice on ways you can stay creative when times become tough. The author Austin Kleon, provides with you 10 ways to help you enter a creative mindset. Kleon writes about different authors' and artists' routines to stay creative. He shares with the reader the routines that helped those artists/authors create their best work. This book gave me tips I will definetly put into practice like finding a space to be creative. Kloen talks about letting your mind be free and be able to just think and be creative. Find a space in your house or anywhere you would like or a specific time throughout the day to be creative. Opening a time to be creative to make doodles or come up with the most random ideas. Similarly, as setting a time for a bible study, the gym, or a time for journaling, setting a time to be creative is a great tip Kloen has given us. Another tip he gave us is when you are stuck on a project and do not feel creative then try to make something ugly. Try to make the ugliest and worst project and that will help your creativity shift in a different direction giving you another view of your work at the moment. Look at your work as an opportunity to perform your best each day. When you get stuck on a project just play around with your design anything that comes to mind draw it down. Even if it is hard to create something one day, doing anything is a step closer and a sign of productivity.
