Review : My wife gave me a copy of this book during our home search (DISCLAIMER: It was an advanced reader's copy). Even though I considered myself a well-informed potential homeowner (thanks Reddit!) I still found this book useful. It clearly lays out the steps to buying a house, includes a pretty inclusive glossary of real estate terms that the average person doesn't know, and gave us a shared language to use with our real estate agent. The chapters about financing and offers were particularly useful, as even though we didn't do a lot of that work ourselves, it was good to understand the logic behind the process. I didn't expect the book to be funny, but it has some good puns and Dad jokes sprinkled throughout.
